Join us for worship in person or online this Sunday. This week we are excited to welcome guest preacher April Simpson.

April Hoelke Simpson is Assistant Professor of Religion at Georgetown College. She also serves at the college as the Director of Faithways Leadership Academy, a program for current high school students, and the Director of the Christian Scholars Program, a faith community for GC students that emphasizes vocation, holistic growth, belonging, and service. Dr. Simpson previously served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Religious Studies at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, and she earned her PhD in Religious Studies from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Simpson’s research and teaching specialization is the Gospels, and she is currently working on a book project relating to women in Mark. She also enjoys teaching a range of topics related to Christianity and other religious traditions.
