Summary of September Business Meeting

The church's quarterly business meeting was held on September 23rd.  During this meeting the new by-laws were passed.  New amendments were also proposed.  Written copies of these amendments were provided on the table in the foyer on Sunday, September 27th and the vote on those amendments' will take place on October 11th in a called business meeting.

Now that the bylaws have passed we will need an ad hoc committee to work on a policies and procedures manual to accompany the by-laws.  Please let Christi Elkins-Gabbard (moderator) know if you are interested in serving on this committee.

Another motion that was passed was to direct the search committee to have a called business meeting to call Charles and Aaron as co-ministers of the church at the earliest time possible as required by the by-laws.  The search committee has already met to begin the process of what this will look like.  We will be expecting a vote  once things are in place for a vote to happen. 

Finally, we are in need of a church clerk to help keep minutes of everything that is happening.  I f you are interested in doing this, please let Charles Conkin, Aaron Austin, Christi Elkins-Gabbard, or Logan Lloyd know.
