Mark Johnson is the senior minister of Central Baptist Church since April of 2005. He is a graduate of the University of Kentucky (1981) with a BA in Psychology, the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (1984) with an emphasis in pastoral care and earned his D. Min. at the Lexington Theological Seminary (2002) writing a dissertation entitled, "We Baptize You: Relational Dynamics in Believer's Baptist by Immersion."
Growing up in Lexington, he is an avid University of Kentucky football and basketball fan and enjoys time with his two sons, one a junior at Georgetown College and the other a senior in High School.
He teaches the "Benediction" class at the Baptist Seminary of Kentucky. He has served other churches in Kentucky including Midway Baptist Church (Woodford County), Finchville Baptist Church (Shelby County) and Crescent Hill Baptist Church in Louisville. |
