Heavenly Father, we come before you as your children.

We offer our simple praise to you for your almighty power and matchless wonder which pales in comparison to our meager offer of adoration.

We confess our sins, even though we may not know or admit them to you.  Forgive us as you have promised through the grace of Christ Jesus our Savior. Help us to practice your forgiveness to others.

We give our thanksgiving to you for grace in times when we don’t deserve it, for unending love when we are not behaving like YOUR children.  We thank you for blessings too numerous to mention, and for the opportunities you give us to be in the world sharing your witness and message.   

We thank you for worship services and today we come with expectations, expecting to hear and see you in our worship.

We come offering our prayers for others that touch our lives,

those that fight for freedom,

those that serve in war,

those that heal in medicine,

those that teach,

those that work for our safety and health,

and for ourselves as we serve among others.  

As we worship YOU open our hearts and minds to your calling.   Amen
