Cream of the Crop

A monthly program for senior adults featuring luncheons, speakers, entertainment, fellowship, and trips to area eateries. Food is prepared by a committee of women. They meet the second Tuesday of each month, April -December

Tuesday, Aug. 10- Pack that peanut butter and jelly sandwich and come with us to learn the history of McConnell Springs on Tuesday, August 10.  Too hot outside?  No need to worry about the weather, we'll be in cool air conditioning. If you want, you can also walk a short trail to the springs. All are welcome. Lemonade will be served. Contact Sue Jones or Nancy Kirk for details.

Baby Boomers

A recently formed group of adults - generally of the Baby Boomer generation - who get together for activities including lunch and fellowship as well as occasional visits to local attractions. Meetings are usually scheduled on the second Thursday of each month. For more information, contact Pat Ingram or 227-9117.

The group’s activities to date have included lunch at Wines on Vine, and a trip to Irish Acres Antique Gallery with lunch at The Glitz restaurant. Upcoming activities are scheduled as follows:

Thursday, Aug. 12 - tour of the Arboretum on the UK campus followed by lunch. Meet at the Visitors' Center at 10:30 a.m.

WOM and WOM II

One of the best kept secrets at CBC is WOM which meets seven months of the year on the First Tuesday (WOM at 9:45 a.m. and WOM II at 7:00 p.m.)

WOM activities include: Operation Christmas Child, Refreshments of Friendship International, Irishtown Mission Gifts, Racetrack Meal, Elkhorn Clothing Closet, Irishtown, Glove and Hat Tree, and Ronald McDonald House Meal.

We have had and will be having representatives at our meetings from the following ministries: God’s Pantry, Kentucky Refugees, Ecuador Mission Trip, Showers of Blessings, Hadassah, Ronald McDonald House, International Adoption, and many more.
